challenges. You need not have a particular topic in
mind to start the hiring process.
The first step is to let
Mary know about your group by filling out a
pre-program questionnaire. Although you may
not have all the details of your event in place yet,
any information you provide helps Mary get better
acquainted with your group and assists her in
meeting your specific objectives.
Because each
presentation is tailored to fit your unique
audience, you may want to decide upon a topic or
topics after discussing your needs. Also, knowing
particular details such as dates, times and location
can help determine if any special discounts may
apply.
Filling
out this form does not obligate you to hire Mary. It is part
of the exploration process that organizations go through when
choosing the speaker that is right for them. Be sure to ask
any specific questions that will ensure you the most success
in your event.
Once you have decided the date(s), time(s)
and location(s) for Mary’s presentation(s), a program
agreement will be sent to you to be signed and returned with
a $500 deposit. This deposit not only holds the presentation
date for you on her calendar, it helps to pay for any pre
expenses such as travel and material preparation prior to
the event.
Included in the agreement are her
audio-visual
requirements. Depending upon the audience size and presentation
location, Mary may be able to bring some of the equipment
with her.
Customarily, the remainder of her speaking
fee is due on the day of the event, unless otherwise arranged.
Any other agreed upon expenses such as reimbursement for travel
and lodging are due and payable within 30 days of the event.
Her biography
and a choice of
photos are available for use in your promotional
materials prior to the event if desired.

Mary’s
book,”
Showing Our True Colors” is available at
a 20% discount in conjunction with a speaking event. You may
pre-purchase the books for your participants or have them
available immediately after Mary’s presentation. A book
signing area may be arranged for those desiring autographed
copies. |
