Have you ever experienced one
or more of the following?
You’ve
given a basic True Colors (or any other Color
Style system) presentation and your
team/client/organization wants more!
You’ve created a fantastic
True Colors program around a subject and
need some activities to keep it
interactive and entertaining to balance out the
intellectual concepts.
Your
department/manager/client wants to keep
the True Colors concepts alive in their
organization and you need FUN stuff
you can supply that will strengthen and
reinforce the concepts.
You
have a full day set aside to devote to True
Colors and want to make sure it is
exciting and impactful.
You’ve
tried integrating other activities into your
True Colors programs and had a hard time
debriefing or tying them back to the True Colors
concepts.
You want to make such a
fantastic impression that
participants talk about and refer back to your
True Colors program weeks, months, and years
afterwards. (Or you already have and want to
keep up your reputation!)
You are scheduled for a
series of True Colors presentations and have
only 3 hours worth of material!
|
|
|
Use these games and activities to:
 |
Follow up
a Basic True Colors seminar.
|
 |
Integrate
into your
existing True Colors
programs to add more insight,
impact and interaction.
|
 |
Grab
an activity
on a moment’s notice and
come across as if you spent
hours planning and preparing.
|
 |
Keep the True Colors personality
concepts alive
by providing on-going activities.
|
 |
Build a new True Colors
or
temperament workshop.
|
 |
Increase the variety
of topics you address in your
True Colors workshops.
|
 |
Enhance
your own True Colors expertise

debrief notes and taking your
participants through powerfully
effective activities – learning
from their experience as well.
|

you needed to) with fun,

|
|
|
|
How About Any of These?
You’ve run out of material
before your presentation is over and
wished you had just one more activity
in your toolbox that would be perfect for this
specific situation.
You’ve looked for the
ideal transition to the next concept.
You’ve needed to get
some professional looking handouts to
your client and run out of time to make them.
You’ve needed something for
large audiences that is engaging and
competitive.
You are
tired of grouping participants into
their most dominant colors and giving them yet
another assignment to write up on their flip
charts.
You wanted some kind
of activity you could put out on the
tables so participants that finish assignments
early can pick up and do while waiting for the
others.
You’ve heard of or seen
someone else conduct a True Colors activity that
you wanted to integrate into your program but
weren’t sure exactly how to do it.
You’ve facilitated an
activity and it got off track because you
didn’t know how to successfully tie it
back directly to the True Colors
concepts.
|
|
Use these games and activities
as:
 |
An insurance policy
that you will always have fun
and fruitful backups on hand
should your presentation or
workshop timeline shift. (Such
as when the next speaker is late
or doesn’t show up and the event
coordinator asks you to “fill
the time” or “keep going”).
|
 |
A great transition
to introduce the next True
Colors concept you will be
covering.
|
 |
A phenomenal time-saver
when it comes to creating
participant material – the
handouts are provided for you.
|
 |
A
Grand Finale’
for your day that will send your
participants off energized and
enthusiastic about what they
have learned.
|
 |
A
unique attention grabber
to add variety and “oomph” to
your existing True Colors
assignments.
|
 |
An interesting extra
for those “in between” times and
multi-tasking participants whose
attention you might otherwise
lose if you didn’t keep them
engaged somehow.
|
 |
An effective means
of integrating a True Colors
activity that you may have seen
in the past, but not been sure
how to conduct and debrief.
|
 |
A valuable resource
for increasing your True Colors
expertise.
|
 |
Add flexibility
to your timelines and teachable
moments in the workshop
environment by having several
options on hand to use when
specific situations arise.
|
 |
Make an incredible impression
when you virtually eliminate
boredom and your participants
flip for the games and eagerly
participate.

TWENTY (20) GAMES & ACTIVITIES*
The Names have been Withheld

J

ICE
BREAKERS (4)

This
physical activity is to be used with a group
that already has a basic understanding of their
Color Style. It can be used as an icebreaker or
energizer for participants to get more
comfortable with each other and familiar with
different aspects of the Color Style personality
concepts as they relate to the group. When
participants already know each other, the focus
of the activity is directed more towards gaining
a deeper understanding of their individual color
style and the dynamics of the group.
This
highly interactive activity can be used either
as an ice breaker to introduce the Color Style
concepts and get them talking with each other or
as a review. If the participants are learning
about the colors for the first time and haven’t
yet identified their colors this can be a way to
get them to introspect about themselves and
discover their colors.
This
is a more low-key icebreaker activity that
emphasizes our individuality within the Color
Styles. It is a good way for the participants to
get to know each other better and recognize the
uniqueness of each participant. It is powerfully
connecting and entertaining for smaller groups.
This
collaborative activity is a terrific icebreaker
to introduce or reinforce the Color Styles. It
assists participants not only in understanding
their own style, but also acquaints them on a
more personal level with the traits of others.
It also offers insights for gaining a deeper
understanding the differences regarding innate
preferences and ones we’ve learned.
|
DOMINANT COLOR STYLE ACTIVITIES (4)
|
|
 This
eye-opening group activity is designed to
provide insights into how the four Color Styles
approach a project. It emphasizes the importance
of having the input, talents and participation
of all four of the Color Styles when working on
a project and the ramifications of not.
This
interactive group activity accentuates the
differences and similarities in the decision
making processes of each color style. It
supplies important distinctions about the values
and motivations of the styles.
This
quick playful activity engages participants
on a more personal level, eliciting their
interests or preferences. It is a way to help
your participants relax a bit from “work mode”
and connect the Color Style concepts in a wide
range of areas beyond the workplace.
This
workplace related activity is most effective
when conducted in two parts: the first part with
the participants in their brightest color groups
and the second part in blended groups. For the
second part, participants work in blended groups
to put to use the insights they just learned to
create a blended ideal.
|
MIXED COLOR SMALL GROUP
ACTIVITIES (2)
While
all of the other activities in this kit are to
be used during a workshop, this game is a “take-home” activity for a
supervisor to use in an actual team meeting to
reinforce the personality Color Style information they’ve learned. It is
a highly effective way to bring the concepts
back and share with any team members who missed
the training, or simply as a fun way to really
test the depth of their Color Style
understanding.
|
 |
| |

This team-building, collaboration enhancing
activity is most effective as a small group
exercise
after your participants have a solid
understanding of the personality Color Styles.
The objective is to recognize that although each
Color Style brings certain talents to the table,
when combined with the other Color Styles, even
greater results can be accomplished.
|
|
PALEST COLOR GROUP
ACTIVITIES (2)
|
|
 Taking
part in this educating entertainment activity
helps your participants gain a deeper
understanding of the motivations, values and
approach of their least bright color style by
working together in their palest color groups to
report their findings to the dominant Color
Styles in the room.

The objective of this intriguing palest color
activity is to understand that although you can
motivate each style to take a certain action
(the very same action), each style is motivated
for different reasons. It helps participants
recognize the importance of being flexible in
their approach to individuals when eliciting or
expecting their participation or cooperation.
|
|
|
TRANSITION ACTIVITIES (3)
|
|
This
potent whole group activity is ideal for using
at the end of a workshop as a closure. It helps
sum up the essence of each Color Style. Using a
PowerPoint slide show, participants guess which
Color Style each slide correlates with.

This good old fashioned crossword puzzle
activity can be conducted in a variety of ways,
from a solo exercise to working in pairs or
teams. You can put them around on tables for
“in-between” times or use them to transition to
the next topic. The questions are all
personality Color Style related so it tests the
knowledge base of your participants in an
entertaining game.
There
are four different worksheets in this activity,
one
for each of the Color Styles. Each sheet has 27
specific color related adjectives – words that
are hidden in each word search. Find the words
and strengthen your Color Style savvy! This is a
fun activity to partner up or do individually.
|
|
WHOLE GROUP HIGHLY INTERACTIVE (5)
|
|

|
This is a fast-paced, advanced activity for
participants that already have a firm
understanding of the Color Style Concepts. It
tests their ability to work together in teams to
quickly come up with a variety of “real life”
examples that are representative of each Color
Style.
|
| |
|
 |
This entertaining group activity is a game that
is played in a popular game show format. The
objective is to engage participants in a review
of the Color Style concepts in a playful, highly
engaging way. The game is played in teams and
encourages camaraderie among the participants
through teamwork. It works best when you have a
group of at least 12 or more. |
| |
|
 |
This thought-provoking activity is ideal as an
energizer, a review or as a transition between
activities.
It is a fun way to strengthen the
understanding of the Color Style concepts and
wake up your participants with a playful game.
The game is designed to be played in a game show
format that is conducted using a PowerPoint
slide show for each round. |
| |
|
 |
This team activity helps participants transfer
what they have learned about the Color Styles
outside of the classroom environment by
beginning to discern the behaviors,
communication patterns and driving force behind
the actions of the different styles.
|
| |
|
 |
This is a whole group, high energy, highly
interactive game designed to bring out the
ORANGE competitiveness, the GREEN strategy, the
GOLD rule adherence and the BLUE team spirit!
The words chosen for this game are all related
to the four dominant Color Styles. |

This Color
Style Games & Activities Trainer’s Kit
was created specifically for you
I cannot tell you how many
times I have heard the suggestion or had a
request for a Trainer’s Kit that would provide a
variety of energizers, icebreakers, games and
other activities that were designed
SPECIFICALLY
for teaching the True Colors or temperament
concepts!
As a trainer, presenter
or facilitator, chances are you have been to
some type of networking conference, searched
many a website, scoured the bookstore shelves
and pestered colleagues for some NEW material to
offer your participants. And chances are, you
have found some that you could actually use.
Bit by bit you have gathered
stuff for your toolbox…and yet…still… you find
yourself yearning for MORE! Something more
specific, something with more depth, something
with more impact. Something with more choices,
clear outcomes, clear connection to the
temperament concepts!
I know in the past I’ve
gotten really excited about a book, CD, or
training manual promising to deliver “100
teambuilding activities”, “Fun Icebreakers &
Energizers” or an “All in One Trainer’s toolkit”
just to discover a majority of the activities
had unclear instructions (or so detailed they
became confusing), fuzzy outcomes, were
cumbersome to conduct, required more time than I
wanted to spend, and were either so heady and
complicated that I felt like I needed to have a
PhD. in psychology to pull them off or were so
simplistic I thought my audience might throw
tomatoes (or their chairs) at me if I were to
insult them by asking them to participate.
After years of
collecting, adjusting, refining and testing out
activity after activity, I have compiled some of
the best ones. The fun ones! The tried and true
ones that I can
count on
to explore the personality temperament (True
Colors) concepts AND keep participants eagerly
engaged. These are activities and assignments
that will not flop (unless you failed to read
the detailed directions first)! In fact, the
more you use them, the more distinctions you
will make and the more successful they will be
the next time you use them.
Imagine having an assortment of energizers,
exercises and assignments at your fingertips,
ready to go when the request comes in. You
simply browse the activity titles and objectives
to find the ones that best fit your workshop
goals. You can pick several activities and build
a workshop around them, or use the activities to
support and enhance a workshop theme you’ve
already created.
Think about how wonderful it would be when
your boss (or a client) makes a last minute
request for “something fun” to do at an
up-coming meeting to reinforce the True Colors
concepts.
You can breathe easy knowing you’ve got
an entire collection of possibilities to choose
from- with participant handouts already prepared
for duplicating.
No hassle, no complications, no fluff – just
pure fun, pure confidence, pure success.
Still wondering if the
Games and Activities Trainer’s Kit is right for
you?
Will it fit your style? Your venue? Your
organization or business?
Will the activities work for your particular
target audience?
If you are a seasoned True Colors
facilitator, these activities will bring
fresh elements to your programs.
If you are a brand new facilitator, these activities will allow you to turbo-charge your
workshop offerings (as well as your personality
temperament expertise) in record time.
If you
are somewhere in between “seasoned” and “brand
new”, you’ll enjoy the variety, dimension
and punch
these activities bring to your workshops.
Now take a look at this next section closely,
and find out the answers to the most frequently
asked questions…
|
 |
Questions You
Might Have About Using the
Color Styles Games & Activity Trainer’s Kit
"Do
I need to be a certified True Colors facilitator
to use this material?"
No. The
games and activities are created to be used with
any “colorized” temperament system that uses
Blue, Gold, Green and Orange to describe their
dominant personality styles. The True Colors
system is just one example.
"I
am already a certified True Colors facilitator,
am I allowed to use this material?"
Yes! It was
designed with you in mind.
"Does
this come in a hardcopy version?"
We do not ship “printed’
versions at this time (we may change our minds
if we get enough requests). However if you are a
“techno-phobe” and don’t like to download (or
don’t know how), or simply prefer a “hardcopy” -
you
do
have the option of having a CD with the digital
files shipped to you. Feel free to print the
files so you have your own hardcopy. (Remember
you can always print your digitally downloaded
version too!)
"Can
I use these activities with other temperament
systems?"
Definitely.
The handouts and instructions do not make
reference to “True Colors”. Instead they refer
to the temperaments using the general term,
“Color Styles”. This way they can be used for
True Colors or any other “colorized” temperament
system.
"Why
should I buy this kit when I can download games
from other websites for free?”
We encourage you to take any
opportunity you can to obtain games and
activities any time you can. The advantage of
owning the Color Styles Games & Activity Kit is
that you have an assortment of activities that
provide clear step-by-step instructions
(including the all important debrief), have been
time tested for success, are directly applicable
to teaching the personality temperament
concepts, include the rights to reproduce the
participant handouts- again and again… all in
one easily accessible, conveniently indexed
kit.
"Is
this material really going to help me and my
type of training venue?"
Yes.The way
the Color Styles Games & Activities Trainer's
Kit has been compiled, it is applicable to any
“colorized” temperament training.
“If
we have other trainers in our department, can
they use it too, or do they have to buy their
own kit?"
Your Trainer’s Kit is
licensed to you
and your
site so everyone in your department can
take advantage of it. Of course if you have
other training departments at other sites, they
would be required to purchase their own.
"Is
the price for this kit going to be high?"
High compared to what?
Compared to the trial-and-error, do-it-yourself
method? (How much is your time and reputation
worth?) The price is
extremely
low when compared to what you would pay
for a certification course, networking
conference, or “day camp” event. Not to mention
the fact that you have a variety of games with
detailed instructions (you won’t have to rely on
memory or your notes) and reproducible
participant handouts (no extra charges or
licensing fees).
"What
if I don’t like it?
Can I get my money back?"
You
bet! If you are not thrilled with the
incredible information in this Kit…if you don’t
find the games and activities fun, fascinating
and a fantastic fit for you and your training
venue…you have a FULL YEAR UNCONDITIONAL
GUARANTEE! That’s right! Try out each
icebreaker, energizer, activity and game. Use
the participant handouts and the PowerPoint
slide shows, read through the temperament
information and training tips. Take your time to
thoroughly investigate and explore each activity
and if you don’t think it’s worth every penny,
just contact us within a year from the time of
your purchase and we’ll quickly provide a
refund- no objections
or hard feelings.
